As a 40-year resident of the islands, I, Val Seath, can help you discover the treasures of Vashon-Maury Island. More About Val
In addition to my real estate profession, serving my community over the years as a volunteer in many capacities is something I have truly enjoyed doing. I have worked several years in the Mother's March of Dimes, Heart Fund, Camp Fire and Camp Sealth counseling; in several capacities in our local schools – from playground aide and teacher's assistant during the grade school years to a position on the high school scholarship program during my own children's progression through the local school system. Most recently my volunteer work has been done through the local Soroptimist International of the Americas, Vashon-Maury club, which heavily supports the local food bank, senior citizen programs, schools at all levels; working with other service groups and churches on our local community dinners and other worthwhile projects.
With each and every commission I earn, a portion is given to the Vashon-Maury Land Trust, Vashon Co-Housing, and to the John L. Scott Foundation, which contributes to insure all children have access to care from Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, and to various other hospitals in the state.
